Northview Primary School
logoNorthview Primary School, built in 1950, is located in Findlay's north end and serves students in K-3. The building also houses a special needs school primarily for the hearing impaired, but also serves other special education students such as orthopedically handicapped, developmentally handicapped, learning disabled, and multi-handicapped. For specific information regarding any of our programs, please give us a call.

A sister school concept was instituted in 1992 with elementary schools that previously housed students in grades P-6 being paired with another elementary school. Grades were then divided at each building between primary and intermediate. Northview's sister school is Bigelow Hill Intermediate. Visit their site and see how the sister concept works.

promiseNorthview Primary School has been recognized as a School of Promise by the Ohio Department of Education.

Third Grade Reading Guarantee

Recent legislation strengthened the Third Grade Reading Guarantee to give greater emphasis to reading instruction and intervention in the early grades. Through this initiative, school districts and community schools will diagnose reading deficiencies in students at grades kindergarten through three, create individualized reading improvement and monitoring plans and provide intensive reading interventions. The new law also includes additional requirements for school districts and community schools. (Source: Ohio Department of Education)
